Nature single photon
Web24 de feb. de 2016 · A true single-photon source emits a single excitation at a specified frequency when demanded. So mathematically, the output state would be a true Fock state with photon number n = 1. The probability that the detector would record any other number ( n = 0 or n = 2 etc.) of photons in an instant is exactly zero.

Web24 de jun. de 2016 · Previous achievements of similar photon efficiency have been with conventional raster-scanning data collection using single-pixel photon counters capable of ∼10-ps time tagging. In contrast, our camera's detector array requires highly parallelized time-to-digital conversions with photon time-tagging accuracy limited to ∼ns. WebPhoton counting is a technique in which individual photons are counted using a single-photon detector (SPD). A single-photon detector emits a pulse of signal for each detected photon. The counting efficiency is determined by the quantum efficiency and the system's electronic losses.. Many photodetectors can be configured to detect individual photons, …
WebAn optimal single-photon source should deterministically deliver one and only one photon at a time, with no trade-off between the source’s efficiency and the photon indistinguishability.
